According to tradition, this temple was established by Kush (son of Lord Ram) after he discovered the original Shiva Linga while ploughing the land. Performing Rudrabhishek here is considered highly meritorious as it combines the blessings of both Lord Shiva and the sacred energy of Ayodhya. Rudrabhishek — Sacred Bathing
The Shiva Linga is bathed with panchamrit while the pandit chants the Rudram. Bilva patra and flowers are offered with each mantra.
Aarti & Prasad
The pandit performs aarti before the Shiva Linga and distributes prasad blessed at Nageshwar Nath Mandir.
