Sarayu Tat Sahastra Dhara Pujan
Saryu River Banks (Ram Ki Paidi)
Spiritual Significance
The Saryu River holds immense spiritual significance in Hindu tradition. According to the Ramayana, Lord Ram chose to leave his mortal form by walking into the waters of the Saryu at the end of the Treta Yuga. The Sahastra Dhara ritual amplifies the blessings by offering a thousand streams of sacred offerings, symbolising the infinite devotion of the worshipper. This puja is believed to purify the soul, remove sins of seven lifetimes, and bestow peace and prosperity.
